Maggie’s FOTD, or My Not-So-Triumphant Return to Blogging

All products featured in this post were purchased by me.

*taps mic* Hello? Is this thing on? Anyone still listening?

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve done an actual, honest-to-Jim post. I’m still trying to catch up with school stuff but I found a bit of time, so consider this a half-post, or a three-quarter-post if you’re feeling particularly generous.

I hung out with my best friend, Maggie, last weekend and we decided to play around with makeup, as girls do. She didn’t have any base on hand with her, and although I have a lot of mismatched foundations (a plethora, some might say…), we’re so different in skintone that none of mine even remotely fit her. (Plus I’ve got golden undertones whereas she has pink.)

I did, however, have a concealer which matched her almost exactly, so I used that to cover up her spots and to even out her tone.

Below are the products used, and I think for going without base, it looks really nice! She has deepset eyes, so it was a really good learning experience for me, too.

Maggie's FOTD

Too Faced eye shadow in Honeymoon (inner half of lid)
Too Faced eye shadow in Ever After (outer V)
Too Faced eye shadow in Push-Up (in crease and blended along lash line)
Too Faced eye shadow in Satin Sheets (inner corner highlight and on lower lash line)
Too Faced eye shadow in Heaven (along brow bone to highlight)

Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit in Ash Brown (lighter shade in duo)

Face
Maybelline DreamLumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (to cover up spots and dark circles)
NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink
ELF Studio Golden Bronzer (to lightly contour and add warmth)
Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight powder (to highlight)
ELF HD powder (pressed into skin to mattify and blur imperfections)

Lips
NYX Mega Shine lip gloss in French Kiss

It was super fun getting to do her makeup, and further cements my belief that I’m in the wrong industry and going to school for the wrong thing :P Maybe I’ll have a quarter-life crisis and drop out to go be a makeup artist. Probably not.

Anyway, I hope to be back at full steam in a few days! I’ve got three Julep boxes to swatch and reviews galoooore!
