I don’t have many milky polishes, but I’m a fiend for pastels and glitters so it was a no-brainer that I would pick this polish up one day. Revlon Whimsical is actually a straight dupe of a Deborah Lippman shade, Glitter in the Air, but of course at a much nicer price point. This is a milky lightened sky blue base with large hex glitter in bubblegum pink and robins egg blue, smaller silver hex glitter and fine blue and pink glitter.
Like most milky polishes, it’s very sheer. However, I like the effect; it’s almost like a glitter sandwich without having to use two separate polishes.
In the below picture, I’m wearing one coat of Beauty Secrets base coat, 4 of Revlon Whimsical and one coat of Seche Vite top coat. For my accent nail, I used two coats of Maybelline Goody Plum Drop — next time, I think I’ll layer Whimsical over it!
I had to cut all my nails off because they were getting weak and brittle, and I really get annoyed with long nails after a point, honestly. My fingers are rather stubby, so I stick to very light shades when my nails are short. This is such a cheery and uplifting shade, especially after the big storms that just passed through! Spring is almost here~!
What do you think of Revlon Whimsical? Would you wear it?
